| About Senator Brady |

Bill Brady has served in the Senate since 2002 having previously served in the House of Representatives from 1993 to 2001. Brady is currently Republican Spokesperson for the Senate Insurance Committee, and a member of the Senate Energy Committee, the Senate Environment Committee, the Senate Pensions and Investments Committee, and the Senate Revenue Committee. As a legislator, Brady is a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility. He has worked to increase education accountability and funding. He has reformed workers compensation and tort law. He has championed insurance and financial reforms that were later used as a national model. He is most noted for legislation guaranteeing health insurance for retired teachers. Locally, he is a member of the Bloomington/Normal Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, McLean County Chamber of Commerce, Bloomington/Normal Home Builders Association. Senator Brady graduated from Central Catholic High School and Illinois Wesleyan University. He is a businessman. Bill and his wife, Nancy, live in Bloomington. They have three children. |
